Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens For HealthCare Professionals
This course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens (BBP) training when paired with site-specific instruction.
Who should take the course?
The course is for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens (BBP), primarily in the workplace, including:
- emergency medical technicians
- respiratory, physical and occupational therapists
- physician’s assistants
- residents or fellows
- medical or nursing students in training
- aides, medical or nursing assistants and other allied health personnel
