Basic Life Support (BLS) For HealthCare Professionals

The BLS for HealthCare Professionals course is designed to provide a wide variety of certified and licensed healthcare professionals with the skills to keep people alive until they can be brought to a hospital or be treated with more advanced lifesaving measures.

BLS training is intended for certified and licensed healthcare professionals, including:

Course Features:

In this course, healthcare professionals learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course covers:

  • adult and pediatric CPR
  • 2-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask
  • foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)
  • automated external defibrillation (includes child AED update)
  • special resuscitation situations
  • other cardiopulmonary emergencies
  • stroke and cardiac arrest
